High density and non-porous surfaces

Thanks to their high-density and non-porosity, Lundhs Real Stone’s collection of Larvikite and Anorthosite materials boast incredible strength, resistance and absorption qualities. All heat, scratch, stain and water resistant, the surfaces are easy to clean and require minimal maintenance.

Heat

Lundhs Real Stone is naturally heat resistant. Hot pots and pans can be placed directly upon the surface

Water

Lundhs Real Stone has a very high density, tested and proven with close to zero absorption. This prevents stains from water an other fluids.

Scratch resistance

Larvikite and Anorthosite are some of the hardest minerals in the world, naturally scratch-resistant and great for preparing all kinds of food.

Cleaning

Lundhs Real Stone is 100% natural. The surface is very easy to clean and requires no regular maintenance. Wipe it clean with water.

UV resistant

Colours of Lundhs Real Stone will not fade when exposed to sunlight.

Stains

Lundhs Real Stone has an ultra high density and this prevents staining from coffee, tea, oil, wine, and citrus fruits.

Quality control

Only the highest quality blocks are sent from Lundhs’ quarries to factories to be processed for work surfaces. Our comprehensive quality control makes sure that the Lundhs Real Stone you choose for your kitchen worktop is one of impeccable quality. Selecting the perfect stone takes a well-trained eye and specialist knowledge. Our experienced inspectors in our quarries are able to identify the smallest flaws, using skills and intuition developed over a number of years.

From a raw block to your kitchen worktop

When we extract a block of stone, we give them a unique block number. This number is traceable all the way from the quarry to your kitchen.


Tested by FIRA

Lundhs Real Stone kitchen work surfaces are tested by FIRA International.

Lundhs Blue, Lundhs Emerald, Lundhs Royal kitchen worktop, with a polished surface and a silk surface, were assessed against the finish performance requirements of BS 6222 Part 3 1999 Domestic Kitchen Equipment for Worktops (Table 1 A) and achieved maximum rating 5 scores in all tests.

Lundhs Antique kitchen worktop with a polished surface was assessed against the finish performance requirements of BS 6222 Part 3 1999 Domestic Kitchen Equipment for Worktops (Table 1 A) and achieved maximum rating 5 scores in all tests.

Testing by FIRA provides reassurance to our customers of the satisfactory performance and durability of our products in service use. FIRA International is a UKAS accredited to BS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005
