"The characteristic feldspar crystals of the Larvikite, testify to a geological history that stretches back almost 300 million years."
Design Collaboration
Sfera I and II
Sfera I and II are exclusive spherical boxes in Lundhs Blue® and turned ash wood, made by designer Kristine Bjaadal.

Sfera I and ll are exclusive spherical boxes that combine functionality and aesthetics. Designer Kristine Bjaadal created the boxes in collaboration with Lundhs, in a limited edition of five in each color.
The boxes are made of Larvikite in Lundhs Blue® and turned ash wood in two different colors - natural wood and green. Kristine describes: "The materials bear traces of time; the larvikite's characteristic feldspar crystals testify to a geological history that stretches back almost 300 million years, while the ash's annual rings tell of growth and development in a more recent past".Sfera I and ll can stand as pure sculptures, or used as a refined storage solution for everything from small items such as keys and coins. to valuable objects such as jewelry, according to the designer.
Through the collaboration between Lundhs and Kristine Bjaadal, a beautiful connection is created between geological heritage and artistic vision. Sfera I and II are not only visually impressive objects, but also works that reflect historical narratives and the passage of time.
The work was first shown during Norwegian Structure at Ventura Lambrate, Milan in 2016. Sfera I was later acquired by the Nordenfjeldske Kunstindustrimuseum in Trondheim.
