EPD and Technical information
Our natural stones have been independently tested by third-party laboratories in accordance with applicable standards. These tests provide detailed information on key technical properties and environmental performance and declarations, ensuring the materials meet stringent quality and performance criteria.
EPD - Environmental Product Declaration
An Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is a concise, third-party verified and registered document that provides transparent and comparable information about the environmental performance of products throughout their entire life cycle. EPDs are based on international standards. Our EPDs are approved by EPD Norge.
HPD - Health Product Declaration
A Health Product Declaration (HPD) is a standardized document that provides detailed information about the chemical composition and associated health risks of a product, particularly building materials. Our natural stones are inherently free from volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and synthetic chemicals commonly found in many other surface materials. Our HPDs are prepared in collaboration with NSI and HPDC.
Technical data (NS EN)
European standards are technical specifications that establish requirements for products, production processes, services, or testing methods. They ensure consistent quality and safety requirements across countries. Test results are used to evaluate and assess the performance and quality of materials. Our tests are performed by SINTEF.
Technical data ASTM
ASTM tests are technical tests based on American standards used to evaluate and document properties like strength, durability, safety, and performance for materials and products. Our tests are performed by the Natural Stone Institute.
FIRA tester
FIRA International has tested our stones for the use for worktops and surfaces, assessing abrasion, impact, scrape and scratch resistance; resistance to wet and dry heat; chemical resistance (to oils, acids, bleaches, tea and coffee).
