Last week, Lundhs took part in The Rhythm of Wellness at Fletcher Priest Architects in London—an installation exploring Norwegian design, natural materials and their role in wellbeing. The installation is open to the public until the end of October.

Framed by the themes of Rest, Ground, Pause and Place, the installation explores how wellbeing can be integrated into the environments where we live, work and rest.

The evening began with a presentation from Jensen Beds on the importance of sleep, followed by a panel discussion with representatives from Fletcher Priest Architects, Lundhs and Eikund. Ben Ayling of Lundhs shared our perspective on the role natural stone can play in design where wellbeing is central.

The discussion considered how the materials around us influence the way a space feels. For Lundhs, natural stone’s tactile qualities, natural variation and long lifespan are essential. Natural materials can help create spaces that feel calm and reassuring, while wellbeing must always be understood in the context of the whole environment.

The panel engaged both participants and audience members, creating a valuable space for reflection and dialogue. For Lundhs, the event was also an important opportunity to contribute to a wider conversation about Norwegian design, natural materials, sustainability and how we can create healthier environments.

The Rhythm of Wellness showed how conscious material choices can help shape spaces that support both people and planet. With enduring natural materials such as Larvikite and Anorthosite from Lundhs Real Stone®, we can create places that last—and feel good to inhabit.

The initiative was supported by Innovation Norway, with ICON as media partner.
