Through the collaboration between Red Bull, Steinriket and Larvik skateboarder Didrik Galasso, the quarry in Tvedalen, Larvik was transformed into a spectacular arena for the skateboard film Larvikite Lines. The project brought together international profiles such as Torey Pudwill, Chris Haslam and Angelo Caro, and showed how Norwegian natural stone could be taken beyond its traditional applications and placed in a new, unexpected context.
Larvikite Lines was an opportunity to demonstrate the qualities of Larvikite in a different way than through traditional architecture and interior projects. Its strength, durability and versatility were clearly expressed. The Larvikite was not to be admired — it was to be used.

What happens when one of Norway’s most distinctive natural materials meets some of the world’s best skateboarders? In the skateboard film, Larvikite Lines, Larvikite from Lundhs was transformed into skate elements and used as the setting for a Red Bull project with international reach.

The project highlighted something fundamental about Lundhs’ raw material: this is genuine natural stone, extracted from the mountains of Larvik. Larvikite is not an industrially manufactured material, but a Norwegian rock with a clear origin and a geological history that dates back millions of years. This combination of local identity, visual character and technical quality is what makes the material unique.
After filming, the project was given a local continuation. The skate elements were donated to Larvik Municipality so they could benefit the local skate community. Today, they form part of the skatepark at Torstrand, just a stone’s throw from Lundhs’ offices. In this way, the project was continued in a manner that both preserved the resources and created value locally.

For Lundhs, the collaboration remains a clear example of Larvikite’s potential. A material shaped by nature, extracted in Larvik and crafted with precision. Natural stone from Lundhs is robust enough to withstand demanding use, and distinctive enough to carry the story of the place it comes from.
