In Pluck’s kitchen design for The Mix, a creative hub in London, material quality takes centre stage. Lundhs Antique®, formed 980 million years ago in Norway, defines both the visual and functional foundation of the project. With its warm brown tones, subtle iridescent crystals, and lightly textured surface, the natural stone brings depth, richness, and character to the space.

A curated interior concept
The Mix, developed by Bert & May, brings together ten design-led British interiors brands selected for their craftsmanship and material understanding. Pluck was invited to create a kitchen that reflects this curated vision – a destination where designers, makers, and enthusiasts meet to explore quality materials and considered design.

The stone that shapes the kitchen
In this kitchen, Lundhs Antique® is not an accent but a defining element of the composition. Both the countertop and the surface of the bespoke Turnmill Prep Table are crafted from the natural stone, whose inherent weight and vibrant mineral play contrast beautifully with Pluck’s palette of warm timbers, brooding hues and handcrafted details.

The organic expression of Lundhs Antique® gives the kitchen a robust elegance and a timeless presence – qualities that have made the stone a favourite among British interior designers and discerning clients internationally. Our long-standing relationship with Gerald Culliford, distributor of Lundhs Real Stone® in the UK, ensures that designers and architects have access to our premium Norwegian natural stones with full traceability and consistent quality.

A harmonious material composition
Pluck’s design reinterprets traditional British interiors – think warm oak panelling, deep tones, and the atmosphere of classic members’ clubs – in a contemporary context. The adjacent Pluck Pantry introduces a playful contrast with yellow fronts, cherry wood and ash, creating a complementary materiality that enhances the overall kitchen experience.

A collaboration built on craftsmanship and shared values
“The Mix is more than a showroom – it is a meeting place for brands with soul,” says Lee Thornley, founder of Bert & May. The project demonstrates how strong materials, carefully selected partners, and an uncompromising approach to quality result in interiors that inspire and endure.
