Natural Stone in the Bathroom

Our natural stone has always felt at home in the bathroom. The different colourways, finishes and textures of Lundhs Real Stone make it an extremely versatile surface choice, suited to floors, walls, countertops and even integrated basins and walk-in showers. Whilst its appearance is versatile, its performance is also outstanding in wet areas; with a natural resistance to water, stains, scratches, heat and UV.

One of the key features of natural stone is that it has a unique appearance – each piece a one-of-a-kind. And as such, the variations of tones, crystals and patterns provide a truly individual statement surface for the bathroom.

Blush & Brass

As interiors trends have developed, the desire to incorporate bolder colour palettes and finishes has become increasingly prominent in the bathroom, and Lundhs Real Stone is the perfect accompaniment to various bold shades.

A popular colour for 2022, blush will bring warmth and vibrancy to any space. Paired with the ice blue tones of Lundhs Royal and luxurious brass accents, Jotun’s ‘Warm Blush’ paint brings the walls of this shower room alive, creating a scheme that exudes style and sophistication.

Lavender Tones

When Pantone named ‘Very Peri’ as its Colour of the Year for 2022, it’s safe to say that most were surprised at its vibrancy. Purple is a shade that hadn’t been seen in interiors for a number of years, and yet, as we notice trends develop from our love for blushes and pinks, it’s clear to see how this confident colourway has started to inspire the incorporation of more lavender-inspired shades into the home.

Offering a luxurious and harmonious appeal, subtle hints of purple and blue crystals are present in the Lundhs Antique natural stone, meaning that it can be paired beautifully with lavender and mauve tones. A matte surface texture will tone down the purple hues, ensuring a soothing ambience, whilst a high gloss finish will make the crystals pop, ideal for those wanting to make a more eye-catching statement.

Natural Combinations

As we seek more individuality in our design choices, variation in textures and finishes are becoming more prominent. Mixing rough, polished and matte tiles will make a space feel more personal and more tactile, and truly let the natural beauty of a material shine through. All of the stones in our collection are available in a number of finishes, and when combined will create stunning visual and textural interest, creating a bathroom that exudes subtle yet sophisticated luxury.

Everlasting Nature

From calming colours to unique textures, nature can be brought into the bathroom in many forms. Nature can produce some of the most durable and long-lasting materials, and as the trend for more long-term, investment interior pieces increases, we will continue to see natural stones, sustainable woods and other elements dominate bathroom décor. Combine soothing neutral yet warm beige tones with a detailed natural stone and wood surfaces to create a scheme that will last for years to come.
